Alex Siegel

Alex is an elite and masters sprinter up in the Seattle area but is starting to dabble in endurance events. He started racing at Marymoor in high school, took it fairly seriously in college, then was off the bike for almost 10 years until he came back to Seattle in 2019. Alex and his wife have two kiddos (9 and 6) that make for a great cheering section out at JBMV.

He found cycling as a commuter in college, teaching himself basic mechanic skills to build a simple fixie. This led to racing alley cats and fixed gear city crits. After College he was blessed with the opportunity to move to San Diego for new opportunities and work where he finally had access to a velodrome. After a year training with the USA Cycling Search for Speed program you can find Elliot training and racing in LA.

Tyler first started riding the track back in 2016 but it wasn’t until 2019 he started racing road, and finally made his way to racing track in 2021. Following a team camp in LA in February of 2024, he decided to focus on the sprint events; and after winning the 2024 elite national championship in the kilo along with strong results in keirin and match sprint, he relocated to Southern California for a year to train as part of the US national sprint program. For the 2026 season he is now back in Redmond, WA to race at Jerry Baker Velodrome once again. In his spare time, Wyatt works as a software engineer and coaches the junior program at JBMV.

Endurance

Alex Hutchinson

Alex found cycling after a neck injury from playing Rugby. Quickly realizing a hatred of climbing hills on the bike, he found his way to track cycling. Alex has been racing track, on and off, over the last 8 years. He has enjoyed chasing results and goals, and is excited to keep turning left chasing teammate Cam Fitz.

If ever in doubt which rider is Alex, he is probably the one doing the half-smile half grimace while ripping around the track.

Merrick Gallagher

Merrick Gallagher of Redmond, Washington began his track cycling career through JBMV's Camp Velo and the Jerry Baker Junior program under coach Amara Edwards. A multisport athlete in his early years, he brought that athletic foundation with him when he turned his full attention to the bike. Following his decision to focus exclusively on the sport in early 2023, he progressed quickly. By 18, Merrick had earned 13 Junior and u23 national championship titles and set the American record for the Junior Men's Team Pursuit alongside Ashlin Barry, Peyton Burckel, and Enzo Hincapie in Apeldoorn, Netherlands in August 2025. His 2024 season was a breakout: U23 National Champion titles in the International Omnium and Individual Pursuit, followed by five gold medals at Junior Track Nationals. He has represented Team USA at the UCI Junior Track World Championships in Luoyang, China (2024) and Apeldoorn, Netherlands (2025), and at the Next Gen competition in Apeldoorn, Netherlands in January 2025.   He trains under US coach Anders Johnson and joins Waterline Racing for 2026, where teammates Alex Seigel and Tyson Danielson have been indispensable mentors throughout his development.

John Bowie

An endurance rider with a solid kick, Bowie recently relocated to the East Coast. Committing to a track focus in 2023 showed a different type of form. The season overall winner at Jerry Baker Memorial Velodrome in 2023 and winning his first individual medal at the US National Championships in 2023 proved he could race at the sharp end of big track events. A relocation to Denmark for much of 2024 resulted in a very different racing season only lining up at two events before the 2024 US National Championships. Taking 2025 to reset, 2026 is looking to be a year to build back to form targeting some masters events.
